Spotlight Ball Postponed
It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce the 2020 Spotlight Ball, planned for Saturday 17th October, has had to be been postponed due to COVID.
It just wouldn't have been possible to host the fabulous evening we had planned with all the current regulations in place.
We do hope to bring you this event in 2021 instead, so watch this space for news about a future date.
Despite all the challenges many charities, like ourselves, are facing right now, several of our wonderful supporters and volunteers have been able to carry on with their fundraising events. We are truly thankful to all of them for raising these vital funds that will enable us to continue our projects in the communities we support in Uganda.
Swing For Their Supper A Towering Success!
Thank you to everyone who helped organise and promote our abseil event last weekend - there was a wonderful (socially distanced!) atmosphere at the base of the church tower and in all 12 abseilers joined in the challenge.
Joshua Kunova was our youngest abseiler at 8 years old and enjoyed it so much he descended twice! We were blessed with good weather and hope to be able to announce a healthy total soon.
Heart-filled thanks for a great team effort all round and especially to Wendy for organising! We raised a magnificent £5,000 which will transform lives.

Golf Day 2020
Thank you to all the golfers that came to support our annual golf event that was held at Mid Herts Golf Course on Wednesday 16th September. This year, due to COVID, we were not able to welcome everyone back in the evening for the dinner and prize giving celebrations that we normally have, but the generosity of these committed golfers meant that the event still managed to raise nearly £1,500! Thank you to everyone involved.
